Wednesday 7th January 2015 - The Mid Levels Escalator
Vehicles are so last season. In HK we take the escalator. Well, a series of travellators actually (the same concept minus the steps). There was only room for one escalator up the Hong Kong hill, so in the morning it comes downhill, taking the crowds down into the city. What a joyful commute to work. In the afternoon it changes direction, so that everyone can commute back home. But more importantly so that fun time people like me can hop on and go up to Soho for some drinks.
The only thing is that you have to tackle a hell of a lot of stairs if you're travelling the opposite way to the escalator. You've just gotta tell yourself that it's good for the calves.
