Sunday 1st March 2015 - Boqueria
This is now, officially, my favourite restaurant in HK. Every single weekday is blessed with a Boqueria happy hour – which is unlimited tapas and sangria for a mere 188HKD (aka. 15 quid). It turns out that even the most deathly of hangovers can be rapidly cured with the couple of glasses/jugs of sangria which can be consumed in two hours.
Whilst sophisticatedly glugging down the bargain sangria, you can take your pick from a selection of tapas. Tiny sweet peppers, cured meats and teeny weeny potatoes are all there for the taking. And I haven’t even told you about the cheesecake yet. It’s not traditionally Spanish I don’t think. But who cares when it tastes like you’ve got A GENUINE PIECE OF HEAVEN IN YOUR MOUTH. It was so good that the entire table was stunned into silence for roughly a minute. That is, before the sangria-fuelled ramblings took over again.
N.b. The mexican hat and eye patch aren't real on the photograph below (I bet that came as a shock), but I just discovered my computer's ability to do it, so it's happening.
