Hong Kong phone numbers are only 8 digits long, which is a nice change from the UK eleven.

This is countered, however, by the 6 digit PIN code. It really is unbelievable how much harder it is to memorise an extra two numbers. I had to carry my piece of bank paper around with me for about 2 months, which, in view of my startling ability to lose things, was rather dangerous.

I have now remembered it, but still get it wrong sometimes purely because there are too many numbers.

I might start a petition.
