Monday 10th August 2015 - ABC Kitchen
Tucked away in Sheung Wan’s Cooked Food Market is the most delightful restaurant called ABC Kitchen. It was going to be love at first sight for me anyway, because I saw on their website that they have quaint red and white checked tablecloths.
It doesn’t seem so promising, when you’re squished in the corner of a big noisy school canteen. But then the sangria starts flowing and everything is rosy. Before you know it, there are oysters floating around on the table, some red wine has arrived with the steaks and a nice waitress is coming around with mustard which is just perfs because I’m going through a mustard obsession at the minute.
And the whole thing came to $300/£20ish each.
It was a banquet. A bloody brilliant budget banquet.
