The corkscrew is probably the most crucial piece of kitchen equipment.

If you buy a bottle of wine with a cork and don’t realise you have lost your corkscrew, you will have an addict-style moment trying to prise it open with a knife. Then you will trek down to the shop and have a hissy fit when the assistant reveals that wine-opening implements are not stocked.

Save us the both the hassle, and buy me a corkscrew.
