Sunday 6th September 2015 - Havana Bar
Wakey school boys and girls will always hold Havana close to their heart. It was the dingy down town club the whole school relocated to every Monday night, to dance around in cramped sweaty conditions whilst our ears were being pounded by questionable music.
So you can imagine my delight when I heard about a Havana bar in Hong Kong. What a home comfort! That being said, it’s a little different to the Wakefield version. Slightly more sophisticated, with jazzy music and latino bar men sashaying around with cocktail shakers. It’s not filled with drunk 14 year olds either, which is definitely a bonus.
Plus, they have honed in on my addiction to fun headwear, and started throwing around free hats. As you can imagine, aforementioned hat was firmly secured on my head as soon as I’d got my foot through the door.
Win win win.
